Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Therapies

Each visit begins with either a Problem Specific Acupuncture Evaluation or a Comprehensive Constitutional Oriental Medical Evaluation.  Both Evaluations include an Exam & Individualized Treatment Plan.  Acupuncture treatment is usually given the first visit.

Needle & non-needle treatment available: Non-needle methods include electrotherapy, acupressure, cupping, Guasha stone (flat) massage, moxibustion (heat to acupoints) and magnets.

Drug-Free Therapies include: Acupuncture, Electroacupuncture, Hydrotherapy, Massage Therapy, Cupping, Moxibusion, Reiki, Shiatsu, Tuina, Herbal Supplements, Food Energetic Therapy, Qigong Exercise and Aromatherapy.

• Some insurance companies will reimburse patients for Acupuncture Evaluation or Acupuncture as a physical medicine modality
• Call your insurance to verify or call us to verify benefits before setting the appointment

Follow-up Office Visits $75

Average number of sessions required will vary depending on medical condition, how old the condition is, and the intensity of the symptoms. Plan for 4-8 visits spaced in a 4 week time frame for most conditions.

Hypnotists Must be Certified

Hypnotists are regulated by Florida statute and must be Certified to perform Hypnotic Trance Induction. If an individual is under a Physicians care for a condition they must provide a medical referral for Hypnosis. General stress related conditions involving General Anxiety, Smoking Cessation, Weight Management, Pain Management, Chemo/Radiation Support, Performance Enhancement (Corporate, Athletic, Student) do not require a medical referral.

What to Expect at the First Session

A Hypnosis session begins with a Consultation to determine what the focus of the session will be. Then the Client receives an Orientation to Hypnosis that explains how it works to relieve fears and misconceptions. The client determines what their goal is and agrees to be placed in a relaxed state to receive positive reinforcement of their goal. This is called Hypnotic Trance Induction.  An individual enters a light ”trance” state.  The individual feels physically relaxed yet mentally alert. The conscious analytical mind takes a “holiday” and the emotional subconscious mind becomes very receptive to change especially of negative behavioral patterns.

Anxiety States & Addictive Tendencies

Negative thought patterns are responsible for many anxiety states and addictive tendencies.  Individuals find Hypnosis helpful for all headaches, chemo/radiation support, addiction recovery, chronic pain management, food addiction and sugar craving, nicotine addiction and smoking withdrawal.

After the session the mind feels like it received a “brain massage” and the body enjoys a sense of well being and restoration.

Qigong is an ancient Taoist art and science. Meditation instruction, light stretching and restorative joint movements are used to balance and harmonize the bodies internal energetic system. All ages receive cardiovascular, balance and coordination and nervous system integration benefits. The body feels more flexible, open and relaxed. Kathleen trained under Sifu Charles Frances Farrell, B.A., Qigong Master and Martial Artist as part of a professional teacher training program in 2000. Qigong is a wonderful inclusion in addiction recovery programs, for immune compromised individuals, for chemo & radiation support and for natural pain management.

Rates:

In-Office Individual rate: 30 minute  $45. Includes individualized instruction and exercises.
